As Wajir west residents we request  (urge) the Wajir women representative,Hon. Fatuma Jehow,to be magnanimous in her victory of August poll by carrying everybody along and fulfilling her campaign promises, irrespective of religion, region,tribe, and political affiliation. We decry that Wajir west is lagging behind because there was a lack of fulfilling promises by leaders who had governed the constituency in the past. since you were elected no single projects witnessed only one time bursary reimbursement. Each clan,sub-clan is heavenly securing a piece of the pie, to have a settlement so that to advantageously crown their son for administrative post. Lately chiefs become a fulcrum in the making interms of land grabbing, they were finger pointed as leeway to invasion, politically stamped as a way of employment to clans and tribes.  The chiefs are center stage of land grabbing- it's one of the modern day of lucrative business that less exposed- They invested in this ordeals to cater for themselves and their clans.  we have some who acts as auctioneer in selling hecter of piece of land, they use their administratively oriented privileges- people are illiterate. many fenced lands the chiefs solicited for money or they own it- rise to sha...

  On my recent visit ( admitting patient) to Wajir referral hospital has left me in shocks and queries. WHY such treatment? whose role to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in management and coordination? where does the bus stop? upon arrival to the facility I face cruelty from a section of staffs on the duty too much nagging, frustration once you inquire help, no one gives the attention you want - if you are not patient enough surely one may cause problem. I tried to lower my tempo waiting for you attendance well it went in vain.  From the way I was accorded purely one can understand the staffs don't have a close rapport with patients or anyone who seeks for assistance. if there is an arrival of emergency - there is too much bureaucracy and stalemate within.  I think any emergency case the personnel should give a quick response to save life not rather than compromised faults - There is closet of impunity in giving services, it's either incompetency or not willingly. it'...

 A form four leaver drowned while trying to fetch water from a water pan at Murug- Harun village in Tulatula, Wajir county Bay, on Wednesday this morning. The 23-year-old boy was in the company of his other friends drawn inside when he decided to drink water from the pan. According to the assistant chief of the area, Ibrahim, the boy try to fetch water for the family but unfortunately he slips over deep and cross over from one side of the pan when he lost  balance and fell in the water. His friends rushed back home to inform their father, but locals who rushed to the scene only managed to retrieve the body.  Area chief express concern challenges they face when such incident happened saying the government should fastrack to recruit divers to help when such calamity occurs. The body was taken to deceased family for burial ceremony. Residents urged relevant authorities to fence the pan to minimise accidents in future.
